A traditional revival style dining suite comprising an extending dining table and a set of six matching chairs. The oval table top features a shaped, scalloped, and moulded edge and is fitted with two removable extension leaves. The table is supported by four cabriole legs, each decorated with carved acanthus leaf motifs at the knee and terminating in pad feet. The chair set consists of two carver armchairs and four side chairs, each featuring a tall back with an elaborately carved and pierced central splat with scrolling foliage. The front cabriole legs have matching knee carvings, and the padded seats are upholstered in a vintage gold, cream, and brown damask-patterned fabric. The suite is constructed from mahogany or walnut veneers over a solid wood frame. Dimensions measured against a tape measure (inches shown): Table height: approx. 30 inches Table length (extended): approx. 83.5 inches Table width: approx. 41 inches. Condition: The suite is structurally sound. The table top shows signs of use including light surface scratches and several visible cloudy patches, consistent with heat or moisture contact. The upholstery is intact but shows some age-related wear.
