This collection of fine porcelain tableware is produced by the Bernadotte factory in the Sonata pattern. The items are decorated with polychrome transfer-printed floral sprays, primarily featuring pink roses and blue blossoms, set against a white ground. The design incorporates moulded relief basketweave and scroll-work motifs to the borders, finished with hand-applied gilded rims. The collection comprises an oval lidded tureen with twin scroll handles and a matching oval platter, a cream jug, two lidded sugar bowls, and two shallow serving bowls with scalloped edges. Included are two associated ceramic serving spoons featuring a dense autumnal floral pattern in shades of orange, yellow, and red. The bases of the main pieces bear a red circular mark with a laurel wreath surrounding a stylised letter C topped with a crown, inscribed BERNADOTTE, PORCELAINE FINE DE BOHEME, and CZECHOSLOVAKIA, with the pattern name SONATA printed below in black. Dimensions: Height of tureen approx. 8.75 inches; Width of arrangement as shown approx. 18.25 inches, measured against a ruler. Condition: The pieces are in good overall condition, with no visible chips, cracks, or restoration. There is minor, expected wear to the gilded rims consistent with age and light use.
