Tapestry Storage Footstool Passport Furniture

Upholstered storage footstool measuring about 16 by 12 by 10 inches, with a hinged lift top over an interior compartment, covered in a polychrome floral tapestry jacquard of cabbage roses, chrysanthemums and blue and orange blooms on a gold wheat ground, on a cherry stained hardwood base with a scalloped apron and four short cabriole legs with pad feet. The law tag gives the maker outright, reading IMPORTED BY PASSPORT FURNITURE INC., ROANOKE, VA 24015, MADE IN TAIWAN, Registry No. CA 31548 TW, 100 percent polyurethane foam, and citing California Bulletins 116 and 117, which places it in the 1980s or 1990s. Condition is good. The upholstery is intact with no tears or stains, only light overall soiling and a slight thread pull at one lower corner. Hinges work and the interior is clean and empty.
