Marble Top Two Tier Carved Side Table

Two tier side table measuring about 32 by 19 and a half by 24 inches, with a scalloped shaped marble top over a carved mahogany toned base with four cabriole legs, carved acanthus knees, pad feet and a pierced carved fretwork apron on the shaped lower shelf. The top reads as genuine stone rather than cultured marble or resin. The veining is irregular and non repeating in a natural rust brown, and the slab is a thick three quarter to one inch section with a hand shaped ogee edge following a hand cut serpentine outline. The edge face is not clearly documented, so bidders should confirm in person. No maker mark. Condition is fair. No chips were found anywhere on the marble, but there is a pale yellow tan discoloration band on the lower third, several small pinkish spots, and polish loss, with a rubbed patch on the wood shelf.
