Eight lobe scalloped drum table on a turned baluster pedestal over a quatrefoil plinth on four stone faced scroll feet, about 29 to 30 inches tall and 32 inches across. The top is genuine stone inlay, and the evidence is clear. The stone is a real slab of measurable thickness set into a rebate in the wood rim with a visible shadow line at the joint, the pieces are separate tesserae with butt joints where veining runs off one piece and does not continue into the next, and the outlines are fine brass wire inlay holding constant width around tight curves. Three stones are used, a black marble field, a green black serpentine and a gold brown breccia, laid as a radiating rosette of three rings of eight petals. Two shallow drawers pull out on opposite sides. A fitted glass top is included. Condition is fair with chips at one petal tip and on the scroll feet. Sold as-is.
