Mahogany Side Table With Brass Teardrop Pulls

Side table in the Georgian and Chippendale taste, a 20th century reproduction, with a solid molded edge top in ribbon figured veneer, a scalloped shaped apron and four square tapered solid legs. Please note a correction to the earlier listing. It has one full width drawer, not two. The two drawer appearance is a facade, a single continuous drawer front carrying two applied panel moldings and two brass teardrop pulls that all move forward as one unit. The drawer front is flame figured veneer. The drawer box is pine or poplar with a flat solid bottom and no visible dovetails, the exposed front corner reading as a rabbet or butt joint, running on wood runners rather than metal glides. No maker mark, the drawer interior being clean and unmarked. Condition is fair with the top scratched and dulled overall and small chips at the foot bottoms. Sold as-is.
