Pine Spindle Back Storage Bench Project

Knotty pine storage bench of deacon bench form, with a twelve spindle back between turned rails, scroll cut arms, and a hinged multi board seat lid on two black strap hinges opening to a storage box with a hardboard bottom. Finger jointed pine and machine screw construction indicate a late 20th century reproduction rather than a period piece. Sold as a project. The bench is currently apart. The front board of the box is detached and included loose. Condition is poor. There is cobalt blue spray paint overspray in an arc across the seat and running down the left arm, heavy orange water staining and bleached patches on the seat, a split running down from the left arm scroll with a chip of wood lost at the lower rear of that arm, green algae growth on the back panel edge, and general weathering from outdoor storage.
