Blond Wood Kneehole Desk With Matching Chair

Single pedestal kneehole desk with a matching side chair in a pale blond limed finish typical of 1960s American case goods. The desk has three graduated drawers in one pedestal, a wide center drawer over the kneehole with a scalloped apron, a square tapered leg supporting the open side, and a fully finished back so it can float in a room. All four antiqued brass bail pulls with shaped backplates are present. The chair has a shaped crest rail over four turned bobbin spindles, an H stretcher and a dusty pink dotted upholstered seat. No maker mark of any kind appears on the desk or the chair. Condition is fair to good. The top has light scratching and dull patches, the drawer fronts and case sides show thin blotchy finish, drawer interiors are clean and dry, and the chair fabric is soiled and faded along the front seat edge but has no tears.
