Two circular silver-plated trays manufactured by William A. Rogers, Canada. This lot comprises a gallery tray and a flat salver, both featuring decorative chased work. The gallery tray is designed with vertical pierced sides containing oval apertures, a ribbed rim, and an interior base decorated with chased floral, scroll, and diaper-pattern motifs surrounding a central oval cartouche. The second item is a circular salver with a gadrooned rope-twist border and a central surface decorated with elaborate chased scrollwork and foliate designs. The underside of the gallery tray is stamped: Wm. A. ROGERS, MADE IN CANADA, S.P. BRASS, B.M. MTS., 188 1/2. These marks denote silver plate over a brass base with Britannia metal mounts. Diameter of gallery tray approx. 31 cm (measured against a tape measure). Condition: Both trays exhibit surface wear, light scratching, and areas of tarnishing consistent with age and domestic use. No visible dents, major pitting, or previous repairs are apparent.
