A trio of hand-painted polychrome ceramic figurines designed by Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel and produced by the W. Goebel Porzellanfabrik in West Germany. The collection comprises three traditional models: Serenade (HUM 85), depicting a boy in a brown jacket and top hat playing a flute; Little Sweeper (HUM 171), featuring a girl in a red headscarf and green apron with a large broom; and Playmates (HUM 58), showing a boy with three white rabbits. Each piece features the incised signature M. I. Hummel on the rear of the circular base. The underside of the Playmates figurine displays a blue underglaze factory mark consisting of a bumblebee within a V above the text W. Germany, identified as the TMK-5 (The Last Bee) trademark in use between 1972 and 1979. Dimensions (approximate, read from a visible tape measure showing inches only): Serenade H 12.7 cm; Little Sweeper H 10.8 cm; Playmates H 10.2 cm. Condition: Generally good vintage condition. There is a visible area of glaze and paint loss to the front lower edge of the base on the Little Sweeper figurine. All pieces exhibit minor surface wear and light accumulated dust consistent with age. There are no other visible chips, cracks, or repairs.
