Virgil Ross (American, 1907-1996) A charming depiction of four yellow Tweety Birds in various poses, set within a loosely sketched interior featuring a pink wall, a grey baluster, and a tiled floor. Tweety's iconic yellow plumage and orange feet are prominent against the muted background. Signed "VIRGIL ROSS" in the lower left. Unframed. Virgil Ross was a highly influential animator of the classic Warner Bros. era, renowned for his significant contributions to iconic characters. He spent over 30 years at Warner Bros., working under Tex Avery, Bob Clampett, and Friz Freleng. Ross is most closely associated with Bugs Bunny, having animated "A Wild Hare" (1940), considered Bugs Bunny's first appearance.
