Harold Riley (English, 1934-2023) Oil on board, rendered with expressive brushwork, depicting a lively street scene outside the "Fox Tavern." A figure in blue is shown pulling a rope or lead, accompanied by a dark dog, against the backdrop of the blue and brown building with warmly lit yellow windows. Signed 'Riley 69' in the lower right. Framed. Harold Riley was an acclaimed English artist who remarkably sold his first painting at the age of 11. He achieved international recognition for his dynamic sports imagery, particularly in golf and football, and his works are represented in numerous private and public collections globally.
