Kestner Bisque Shoulder Head Doll

Kestner bisque shoulder-head doll, referred to as a tilt head, featuring a reddish-brown mohair wig and brown glass sleep eyes. The face is painted with multi-stroke eyebrows, upper and lower lashes, and an open mouth with upper teeth. The construction consists of a gusseted kid leather body, bisque lower arms, and cloth lower legs. It is dressed in a period-style two-piece blue and brown striped silk-type dress with lace trim at the collar and cuffs. The outfit includes a matching lace bonnet and a set of white cotton undergarments comprising a chemise and bloomers. Stands 16 inches. The bisque head is in good condition with minor adhesive residue near the crown. The leather body and cloth legs show expected age-related wear and soiling. Small holes to the back and legs are presently reinforced with tape, and the silk dress shows light fading consistent with age.
