This group of three Asian character dolls features a variety of construction styles and materials. The first is a 1976 reproduction of the Kestner mold 243 produced by Lois Moore, constructed with a bisque socket head on a jointed composition body. It features fixed brown glass eyes and an open mouth with two inset upper teeth, dressed in a teal silk-style top with floral embroidered trim and black satin-style pants. An accompanying tag identifies this piece as Kestner Best Kidd. The second is an antique character doll with a molded composition head, hands, and feet on a cloth-covered body, wearing an embroidered blue velvet tunic and orange silk-style pants. The third is a disassembled composition character doll of the Dream Baby type with painted features, a woven fabric headband with pom-poms, and a black braided hair queue. Lois Moore doll: 10 inches Antique composition doll: 15.5 inches. These dolls show expected wear consistent with age and use. The Lois Moore reproduction is in generally good order with light surface scuffing. The older composition pieces exhibit typical crazing and wear. The third doll is currently disassembled and requires restringing.
