Offered is a 1936-D Walking Liberty Half Dollar, struck at the Denver Mint. This classic 90% silver half dollar is a popular issue from one of the most iconic U.S. coin series. Weinman and was struck from 1916 through 1947. The obverse features Liberty walking toward the rising sun, while the reverse depicts an eagle perched on a rock with its wings raised. The 1936-D had a mintage of approximately 4,252,400 coins. It was struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, weighs 12.5 grams, and contains approximately 0.3617 troy ounces of pure silver. The “D” mint mark identifies it as a Denver Mint issue.
