Offered is a 1942 Walking Liberty Half Dollar, a classic 90% silver U.S. coin from one of America's most iconic half-dollar series. This Philadelphia Mint issue carries no mint mark. Please review the photos for the exact condition, surfaces, and overall appearance. The Walking Liberty Half Dollar was designed by renowned sculptor Adolph A. Weinman and was struck from 1916 through 1947. The obverse features Liberty walking toward the rising sun, draped in the American flag and carrying branches, while the reverse depicts an eagle perched on a rock with its wings raised. The 1942 Philadelphia issue had a mintage of approximately 47.8 million coins and was struck in 90% silver and 10% copper. Each coin weighs 12.5 grams and contains approximately 0.3617 troy ounces of pure silver.
