1924-P Buffalo Nickel, struck at the Philadelphia Mint. This classic 1920s Buffalo Nickel is a popular issue for collectors building a date set or complete Buffalo Nickel collection. Please review the photos for the exact condition, surfaces, strike, and overall appearance. The Buffalo Nickel was designed by sculptor James Earle Fraser and introduced in 1913. The obverse features a Native American portrait, while the reverse depicts an American bison standing on a raised mound. The 1924 Philadelphia issue had a mintage of 21,620,000 coins. Philadelphia Mint examples carry no mint mark. Like other Buffalo Nickels, the coin was struck in 75% copper and 25% nickel, weighs approximately 5.00 grams, and measures about 21.2 mm in diameter.
