1925-D Buffalo Nickel, struck at the Denver Mint. This scarce 1920s Buffalo Nickel is a desirable date-and-mint issue and an important addition for collectors building a complete Buffalo Nickel collection. Please review the photos for the exact condition, surfaces, strike, and overall appearance. The Buffalo Nickel was designed by sculptor James Earle Fraser and introduced in 1913. The obverse features a Native American portrait, while the reverse depicts an American bison standing on a raised mound. The 1925-D had a mintage of only 4,450,000 coins, making it significantly scarcer than the Philadelphia issue. The date is particularly difficult to find with strong detail, as many examples saw extensive circulation and can exhibit weakness in the design.
