1926-D Buffalo Nickel, struck at the Denver Mint. This scarce 1920s Buffalo Nickel is a desirable date-and-mint issue, especially in higher circulated grades, and is an important addition for collectors building a complete Buffalo Nickel collection. Please review the photos for the exact condition, surfaces, strike, and overall appearance. The Buffalo Nickel was designed by sculptor James Earle Fraser and introduced in 1913. The obverse features a Native American portrait, while the reverse depicts an American bison standing on a raised mound. The 1926-D had a mintage of only 5,638,000 coins, making it considerably scarcer than the Philadelphia issue. Like many Denver Buffalo Nickels of the period, surviving examples often exhibit significant circulation wear and can be challenging to find with strong detail.
