Louis C. Tiffany Gilt Bronze & Holder and Ashtray

This exquisite Art Deco/Art Nouveau gilt bronze and champlevé enamel matchbox holder and ashtray combination was produced by Louis C. Tiffany Furnaces, Inc. in the early 20th century. The circular dish tray features a wide, textured rim beautifully decorated with a continuous, stylized geometric pattern inlaid with vibrant blue, green, and lavender-pink enamel panels. Rising from the center of the tray is a pedestal-mounted matchbox holder. Both sides of the vertical holder are cast in crisp, high relief with a detailed depiction of a sailing galleon ship. Flanking the central matchbox compartment are two curved side brackets designed to hold matches or cigarettes. The underside of the tray is clearly stamped with the official circular Tiffany monogram logo, along with "LOUIS C. TIFFANY FURNACES, INC. / FAVRILE / 303."The piece remains in excellent antique condition with the original gold-toned dore bronze finish retaining a beautiful warm patina throughout. The enameled inserts are completely intact with no visible loss, cracking, or damage, exhibiting only minor, age-appropriate wear and slight tarnish to the gilt finish. Measures 5"H x 8"W.
