Elegant Moser Bohemian art glass vase of tall tapering hexagonal form, fashioned in richly shaded glass graduating from deep amethyst-purple at the upper body to nearly colorless crystal toward the base. Each facet is elaborately hand decorated with polychrome enameled classical female figures in flowing drapery, accompanied by finely painted floral garlands and delicate sprigs of blue blossoms, all framed within exceptionally ornate gilt arabesques, scrolling foliate motifs, mask-form ornament, and geometric borders. The combination of deeply colored glass, elaborate gilding, and finely rendered mythological figures exemplifies the luxurious historicist decoration associated with Moser production at Karlsbad, Bohemia; comparable Moser works are known with amethyst glass, faceted forms, gilding, and classical figure decoration. The substantial vase has a thick polished hexagonal foot and remains visually impressive, with scattered age-related wear to the gilding and enamel decoration and a small flea-bite chip along the inside edge of the upper rim, as noted, together with minor surface wear consistent with age and display. Measures 14"H x 5.5"W.
