Fine American art glass vase by Durand Art Glass of Vineland, New Jersey, of rounded baluster form with a softly flared neck, executed in warm golden-amber glass with a luminous iridescent surface flashing lavender, blue, and opalescent highlights. The exterior is extensively wrapped in an irregular network of applied golden glass threading, creating a lively web-like surface treatment that becomes especially dense around the lower body and shoulder. The interior shows a rich yellow-gold tone, while the broad polished rim displays the characteristic shimmering iridescence associated with Durand’s 1920s production. The underside is marked “Durand 1710-8,” identifying the design as Durand shape 1710 in the 8-inch size; this exact shape and marking are documented on other Durand gold-iridescent threaded examples. Condition appears very good overall with light surface and base wear consistent with age, minor irregularities inherent to the applied threading. Measures 8.5"H x 8"W.
