An atmospheric oil on canvas harbor scene depicting several moored sailboats resting along a working waterfront, their tall masts rising against a softly illuminated sky with a distant Mediterranean-style coastal city nestled beneath rolling hills. Executed with a restrained yet vibrant palette, the artist employs expressive palette knife and brushwork to create rich texture throughout the boats, shoreline, and architecture while capturing the tranquil quality of the calm water and hazy horizon. The composition draws the eye from the rustic fishing huts and dockside activity in the foreground toward the sunlit waterfront city beyond, lending the work a pleasing sense of depth and perspective. Signed lower right, the signature is difficult to decipher. Presented in a decorative molded wood frame. The frame exhibits scattered scuffs and scratches consistent with age and handling, while the painting remains in overall good displayable condition. Sight measures 29.25" x 19.5". Frame measures 33.5" x 23.75".
