Charming artist-signed floral still life executed in oil on canvas, depicting a lush bouquet of garden flowers arranged in a dark blue-green vase before a softly rendered interior or window setting. The composition is painted with vigorous, heavily textured brushwork and passages of impasto, particularly throughout the blossoms, where pinks, coral reds, pale yellows, lavender blues, creams, and deep greens are layered in energetic strokes. The loosely handled background, rendered in muted sage, gray-green, and warm neutral tones, gives the work an atmospheric Impressionist character and allows the brighter bouquet to emerge as the visual focus. Signed at the lower right, though the signature is difficult to decipher confidently from the photographs. Presented in an ornate gilt-finished frame with prominent rocaille, shell, floral, and foliate ornament at the corners and centers, surrounding a fabric liner and narrow gilt inner molding. Condition appears consistent with age and display, with scattered surface dirt and age-related wear to the painted surface and frame, including rubbing, spotting, abrasions, and minor losses to the gilt finish; photographs should be consulted for complete condition.
