Italian Florentine-Style & Round Side Table

Updated August 18, 2026

Decorative vintage Florentine-style round occasional table featuring a circular painted top centered by a delicate floral and foliate wreath motif in muted red tones, enclosed within a coordinating border and surrounded by a softly antiqued silver-gilt ground. The top is finished with a molded edge above a deeply scalloped apron, while the sculptural single pedestal curves gracefully downward into an ornate three-footed base enriched with carved scrollwork, floral accents, and contrasting reddish-brown and silver-gilt decoration. The combination of painted ornament, scrolling Rococo-inspired forms, and deliberately aged metallic finish gives the table a romantic Italian decorative character consistent with Florentine revival furnishings. Comparable Florentine pedestal and tripod tables are commonly characterized by circular decorated tops, gilt ornament, and scrolling bases. Condition presents with substantial intentional and age-related patination, rubbing and losses to the painted and gilt surfaces, scattered scratches, spotting and discoloration to the top, edge wear, small chips and abrasions, and general wear throughout consistent with decorative use and age; the distressed surface contributes strongly to its antique-inspired appearance.Measures 25"H x 21"W.
