Cybis Porcelain Desdemona Shakespeare Figure

Cybis hand-painted porcelain figure depicting Desdemona from Shakespeare's Othello. This intricate piece features the character in a regal pose with arms outstretched, wearing a cream-colored gown and an elaborate open robe. The robe isdecorated with hand-painted pink and lavender floral blossoms, scrolling foliate vines, and wide borders of hand-applied gold gilt. The figure is detailed with light blonde hair, a pearl beaded headpiece, and a single cabochon jewel. Thebase is signed Cybis USA in script and numbered 501. The underside is fitted with a gray protective felt pad and includes a vintage handwritten label noting the matte finish of the gold belt. Height: 14 inches.This figure exhibits mostly expected wear due to age and display. It remains in very attractive condition with no visible damage to the delicate fingers or floral details.
