Description This item came from a collector’s estate. Original U.S. military hatchet with original canvas carrier. The carrier is clearly marked GEIB INC. 1943, dating it to the World War II era. The hatchet measures approximately 13.25 inches overall and retains its original olive drab painted handle. The head appears to have been cleaned and sharpened. Includes the original canvas sheath with belt hooks and strap. A desirable piece of WWII field equipment for military collectors.
