HiBid Description Vintage Adlake C.R.R. railroad lantern featuring a desirable blue signal globe. The lantern is embossed "THE NON-SWEATING ADLAKE LAMP CHICAGO" on the top and “C.R.R.” on the body. Measures approximately 14 inches tall x 9 inches wide. This example is in exceptional condition and appears unusually well preserved. It retains its blue globe, burner assembly, hardware, and attractive original finish, with only light wear appropriate for age. The overall presentation is outstanding for a railroad lantern of this type. Estate Provenance: This lantern comes from the estate of Mr. Percy Hill of Magnolia, Mississippi, one of the largest collectors of railroad lanterns, locks, and insulators in the Southeast. His family has graciously entrusted Southern Heirs Auction with offering this remarkable collection.
