Lantern Vintage Missouri Pacific railroad lantern featuring "Mo. Pac." embossed on the metal top and an original clear glass globe with raised "M.P. lettering. The lantern retains its wire guards, tall bail handle, burner assembly, fuel chamber, and ventilated top and base. The metal body displays a dark, naturally aged finish with surface oxidation and wear appropriate for age. The raised-letter globe appears clear and presents well. Measures approximately 15 inches tall. The underside is embossed with Lindley patent markings and patent dates, adding an important manufacturer detail. Provenance: This lantern comes from the estate of Mr. Percy Hill of Magnolia, Mississippi, one of the largest collectors of railroad lanterns, locks, and insulators in the Southeast. His family has graciously entrusted Southern Heirs Auction with offering this remarkable collection. Be on the lookout for hundreds of additional pieces from the Percy Hill Collection in future sales. If you have any doubt, please attend the preview and examine all photographs closely before bidding.
