Big 20" CAST CONCRETE BASKET PATIO GARDEN PLANTER

A single, large and substantial cast concrete garden planter standing 12" tall and measuring 20" in diameter across the top. The deep circular pot has a broad rolled rim and a richly ornamented exterior molded in relief. The principal design centers upon oval medallions containing woven basket motifs, surrounded by sweeping foliate scrolls, leaves and ribbon like elements. Large shell form or acanthus style molded lug handles project from opposing sides beneath the rim, contributing to the planter’s substantial architectural character. Well suited for flowering plants, shrubs, patio plantings or use as a formal garden jardinière. CONDITION REPORT > As discovered outdoors, containing old soil and garden debris. A vertical crack is visible along one side of the body beneath a molded handle, as photographed. Substantial in weight and will require careful handling for removal and transport.
