AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > International Silver Company silverplate handled nappy in the LOVELACE pattern, catalogue No. 1428, measuring approximately 7.5" long x 6" wide. The shallow footed bowl is formed with a solid center surrounded by elaborate pierced floral and scrolling openwork, rising into a scalloped petal-form rim. A single ornate loop handle extends from one side, with three small curved feet beneath. Produced as a small bonbon, candy or nut dish, the LOVELACE hollowware design complements International Silver’s similarly named silverplate tableware. This example is unmarked, but the form and pierced decoration correspond with documented No. 1428 examples. CONDITION REPORT > Typical and minor elements relative to age, minimal use and materials, along with unintrusive tarnish.. Structurally intact, and would benefit from a simple cleaning and polishing.
