60s CHILDS FOOT LOCKER TREASURE TOY STORAGE CHEST

NO SHIPPING ~ LOCAL PICKUP ONLY > Great for upcycling, restoration, a vintage youth sized footlocker measuring approximately 32" long × 17" tall × 13" deep, constructed with galvanized metal panels over a wood framed body and reinforced by aged metal edging, corner caps, straps, hinges, and latches exhibiting a warm brass and brown patina. The exterior has been personalized with colorful green, blue, and yellow flower decorations. A damaged leather carrying handle remains at the front, with additional end handles appearing intact. The hinged lid opens to a spacious interior lined with bright period wrapping paper printed with large stylized flowers, strengthening the cheerful 1960s to 1970s youth decor character. Originally suited for clothing, camp belongings, school items, or personal keepsakes, the trunk now offers appealing use as a toy chest, treasure chest, blanket box, costume storage trunk, memory chest, dormitory accent, or nostalgic bedroom display. The strong rectangular form also provides possibilities for decorative restoration or creative upcycling. CONDITION REPORT > The footlocker exhibits extensive scratches, scuffs, oxidation, stains, edge wear, losses to applied decoration, tape residue, and general evidence of prolonged use. The front leather handle is damaged, while the end handles appear intact. The latches function. The floral paper lining shows tears, lifting, staining, and age related deterioration. The underside remains comparatively well preserved. Availability of the original key has not been confirmed.
