NO SHIPPING ~ LOCAL PICKUP ONLY > Offered as shown, two large boxes of vintage electric and gravity racing toys, including an Ideal TCR Total Control Racing Indy Jam Car Raceway and a Topper Toys Johnny Lightning track set. Both boxes contain assorted track sections, controllers, supports, accessories, paperwork, and other visible components, though neither set has been assembled, tested, counted, or inspected for completeness. The Ideal TCR set dates to 1978 and was marketed as a slotless HO scale racing system allowing lane changes and passing through trigger operated hand controllers. The original Indy Jam Car Raceway box advertises approximately 18 feet of racing track arranged within a 7' 10" × 2' layout and originally included three racing cars. Visible contents include two wired controllers, a terminal track connection, plastic barriers and supports, racing graphics, and the suggested layout sheet marked ~ IDEAL TOY CORPORATION ~ 1978 ~ HOLLIS, N.Y. TCR, meaning Total Control Racing, represented Ideal’s late 1970s attempt to move beyond conventional fixed slot racing. The slotless system allowed cars to change lanes and pass, creating a more interactive form of home racing than traditional slot car tracks. The second box bears illustrated graphics for Johnny Lightning Track Sets ~ The Challengers! and contains assorted black flexible track, curved sections, yellow trestles, and related visible pieces. Topper Toys introduced Johnny Lightning cars and track sets in 1969 as a competitor within the rapidly expanding small scale diecast racing market. The original Topper era ended in 1971, making surviving track components and packaging desirable to collectors of early diecast racing toys. CONDITION REPORT > Both original boxes exhibit extensive crushing, tears, separations, punctures, staining, fading, creases, tape, and storage deterioration. Contents have not been fully removed or individually inventoried. Includes no cars. Functionality, exact contents, and completeness remain unknown. Both sets are offered together as one lot, strictly as shown, for collecting, parts, restoration, display, or creative reuse.
