AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > Two diminutive pieces of early 20th century jewelry, comprising a circa 1930 Delta Beta Sigma junior sorority sponsor or guard pin measuring approximately 1/2" overall and a sterling silver Bob-O-Link friendship bracelet link measuring 5/8" × 1/4". The gold tone shield form pin displays the Greek letters DELTA ~ BETA ~ SIGMA in black enamel across the front, with a textured heraldic shield behind them. Delta Beta Sigma was founded in 1903 and remains a national junior sorority for high school girls. Historical records confirm active membership during this period, including a documented 1929 initiation into the Zeta Chapter at St. Mary’s Episcopal School in Memphis. A small loop remains at the lower point of the pin, indicating that it was originally connected by a chain to another sorority badge or insignia now absent. The reverse is engraved N.P. ~ C.B. ~ 1930, with an additional letter K near the upper right corner. The rectangular sterling silver piece is an individual Bob-O-Link friendship bracelet link, designed with an opening at each end so personalized links could be connected together to form a bracelet. The front is engraved with script initials, while the reverse is impressed BOB-O-LINK ~ STERLING ~ PAT. APL’D FOR. Bob-O-Link links were manufactured and marketed as interchangeable friendship bracelet components during the early 20th century. CONDITION REPORT > The Delta Beta Sigma pin is lacking the chain and corresponding insignia originally attached to the remaining lower loop. Otherwise, expect typical and minor elements relative to age, wear and materials.
