AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > A vintage Coro book form photo locket pendant measuring 7/8" wide × 1" tall overall, with a warm gold tone finish and engraved script initials across the front cover. The miniature hinged book opens to reveal two oval photograph compartments with fitted metal retaining frames and aged paper inserts. Engraved triangular corner accents decorate the interior pages, while the paneled exterior resembles the covers and spine of a small keepsake album. A tapered articulated bail allows the locket to be suspended from a necklace or charm bracelet. The upper edge of the locket frame is engraved CORO. Coro was established in New York as Cohn & Rosenberger during the early 1900s and became one of America’s largest producers of costume jewelry. Comparable Coro book lockets are generally described as mid 20th century gold tone or gold plated photo album pendants. No gold content mark is visible on this example; therefore, the finish should not be represented as gold filled without further testing. CONDITION REPORT > The locket retains both interior photograph frames ~ Typical and minor elements relative to age,, wear and materials, mostly noted to the front area at the engraved monogram.
