AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > VINTAGE BROWNIE GIRL SCOUT JEWELRY LOT ~ STERLING RING PIN & CHARM AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > A lot of three vintage Brownie Girl Scout jewelry items dating primarily to the 1940s and 1950s, comprising a sterling silver adjustable ring, a gold tone Brownie membership pin, and an associated five petal flower charm. The sterling silver ring features the traditional Dancing Brownie Elf in raised relief upon a rectangular face, with linear decoration along the shoulders and an overlapping adjustable band. The underside of the ring face is impressed with an R within a square above STERLING. Comparable examples carrying this same mark are attributed to Robbins & Co. of Attleboro, Massachusetts, a historic manufacturer of school, organizational, and commemorative jewelry. The gold tone membership pin is formed as a trefoil surrounding the Dancing Brownie Elf, an emblem associated with the Brownie level of Girl Scouting. The reverse retains the horizontal pin stem and clasp and is impressed with the letter R near the lower point. The separate gold tone five petal flower charm has a textured surface, raised petal outlines, and an attached suspension ring. This flower charm was issued with Brownie membership pins of the type generally dated from approximately 1939 through 1956. Together, the three pieces represent the historic Brownie branch of the Girl Scouts rather than an organization predating Girl Scouting, with the Dancing Brownie Elf appearing across both the sterling ring and trefoil membership pin.
