MID-CENTURY LUCITE Pressed FLOWER KITCHEN TRIVET

AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > A vintage round clear Lucite or cast resin trivet measuring 8.25" in diameter and standing approximately 1.25" tall upon integral transparent feet. Genuine dried maidenhair fern fronds and rounded burgundy flower heads are suspended within the thick clear body, forming a decorative botanical wreath around the perimeter. The largely open center emphasizes the floating natural specimens and gives the piece the appearance of a preserved botanical display. Warm ambering within the resin enriches the bronze, brown and muted wine tones, while the raised form allows use as a hot plate, serving trivet or decorative tabletop accent. Pressed flower Lucite and embedded botanical resin housewares became popular during the later Mid-Century period, combining practical kitchen use with the decorative character of natural specimen art. The organic materials and translucent form complement Cottagecore, Grandmillennial, Bohemian, Retro and vintage eclectic interiors. CONDITION REPORT > Expect scratches, scattered internal and surface marks, light ambering and other elements relative to age, materials and use. The dried botanicals remain attractively arranged and clearly visible.
