Serial # NSN. .30-06 caliber single shot rifle with a 24” barrel. The bore is excellent, clean with strong rifling. The rifle is a custom build with a 1903 Springfield front end. The barrel is from a Remington 1903-A3 and is dated 8-44. The receiver is stamped with a presidential eagle and the caliber. The gray parkerized metal finish on the barrel is in good condition showing scuffs and scratches. The metal finish on the receiver is a blotchy gray/brown patina with scattered dings, scratches and scattered light surface rust. The plain walnut 1903 Springfield forearm and hand guard are in very good to excellent condition showing little wear with a few scattered marks. The plain walnut butt stock is in good to very good condition showing dings, scratches and finish wear. The number 20 is stamped on the comb. The 1903 nose band and mid band are a worn brownish gray patina. Steel butt plate with a 53 and an “H” stamped on it. 1903 front sight with a Lyman tang mounted folding peep sight. The action works fine.
