Manufactured by G.J. Ensink & Co. in Ohrdruf, Germany, this pre-WWII field equipment case dates to 1935. Constructed of rigid black leather with reinforced corners and heavy visible stitching, the rectangular case features a front flap closure secured by an adjustable double-buckle strap and includes an attached leather shoulder strap. The unlined interior provides an open compartment suitable for field gear, optics, or documents. Clear maker markings on the inner flap include "G.J. Ensink & Co. OHRDRUF 1935" alongside a Waffenamt military acceptance proof stamp. Exhibiting honest period wear, the leather shows overall surface scuffs, scratches, edge abrasions, and leather stiffness consistent with field use. Metal hardware demonstrates light finish loss and oxidation. Stitching remains intact and structural integrity is well preserved. Dimensions: 8 x 7 x 3 inches.
