Dating to the early-to-mid 20th century, this military-style field pack is constructed of thick, heavy-gauge brown leather. Featuring a single main compartment, the pack is enclosed by a large top flap that secures via a central vertical closure strap with metal hardware, augmented by a horizontal stabilizing strap across the lower body. The back panel integrates two top attachment straps along with heavy-duty stitching throughout the main stress seams. No maker's marks, inspection stamps, or military unit designations are visible. Exhibiting heavy field character, the leather demonstrates widespread surface scuffing, edge abrasions, surface cracking, and localized patina from handling. The straps show dryness consistent with age and exposure, though all primary closure elements and structural seams remain intact. Dimensions: 15 x 12 x 4 inches.
