This rectangular map case constructed from dark brown leather with hand-stitched vertical perimeter seams. The fold-over top flap utilizes a single stitched leather strap and metal buckle closure system. The reverse panel features two vertical leather belt loops secured near the bottom with metal rivets for equipment belt attachment. Lifting the top flap reveals a raw leather underside stamped with two circular ink markings reading "SA der N.S.D.A.P. Sturm 5 Markkleeberg", identifying its connection to a Sturmabteilung (SA) political unit in Markkleeberg. The interior flap also features a prominent handwritten inscription reading "ELMORE JAKE WI". Measuring 7.5 inches wide by 10.5 inches high and 1.5 inches deep, the case shows generalized surface scuffs and edge wear from service use. p
