This set features twenty one aluminum buttons, each measuring 3/4" in diameter, displayed on original period cardboard. The buttons exhibit a pebble-textured convex surface, commonly found on German military uniforms during World War II. The reverse side of the aluminum buttons shows oxidation typical of field use and storage conditions from the mid-20th century. The card is intact and holds all buttons securely, demonstrating typical manufacturing methods of the 1940s wartime period. There are three buttons missing. These items would have been standard issue for uniforms used by German military personnel. these buttons have been overpainted with a matte gray paint. OT
