The defining feature of this tan fabric photo album is the hand-painted depiction of the MS Milwaukee and the name Fritz Wenisch on the cover. Assembled between 1933 and 1945, it documents Fritz Wenisch's transition from Merchant Marine service to formal military roles, showing him in both Navy and Army uniforms. The album includes 171 photos identified studio portraits, group and individual photographs, and scenes with coastal tower backgrounds, offering a chronological record of personal service during the Third Reich. The inner photo mounts are marked by Foto-Berger Crimmitschau. The album measures 8.5" x 11". Some photographs in this album may be vintage photographic copies rather than original copies.. Condition shows light cover soiling and corner fraying, consistent with age and use. A rare hand-painted illustration and clearly identified subjects add to the documentary value of this personal record. SW
