A finely preserved personal military photo album belonging to a serviceman in the Luftwaffe anti-aircraft branch, misidentified in the initial description as a standard army field artillery regiment. Cover & Front Matter: Features a textured green cloth-bound cover with a silver-stamped Luftwaffe national eagle clutching a swastika, designated to the 2. Batterie, Flak-Regiment 24 (2. Battr.-Flak-Rgt. 24). The internal title page is inscribed in German Gothic script, "Erinnerungen an meine Wehrdienstzeit" (Memories of my Military Service). It opens with standard printed portrait plates of prominent Third Reich figures: Adolf Hitler, Walther von Brauchitsch, Erich Raeder, and Hermann Göring. Photographic Contents: Contains numerous original black-and-white snapshots (49) documenting daily garrison life, training exercises, and field service. Some photographs in this album may be vintage photographic copies rather than original copies. Highlights include detailed views of downed allied aircraft wreckage, personnel posing around large sound-locator equipment (Richtungshörer), barrack morale activities including complex unit sand sculptures, and social gatherings featuring Luftwaffe officers wearing the Knight's Cross. The album features clean fabric covers, intact string-tied binding, and sharp, high-contrast photographic prints providing a comprehensive historical record of a specialized anti-aircraft unit. SW
