Dating to 1941, this German Wehrmacht Brustmikrofon 26/33 communications set was designed for use by a military switchboard operator. The silver-painted metal chest microphone features an adjustable black Bakelite mouthpiece, an accompanying earpiece with leather head strap, cloth-covered wiring, and a detachable five-pin connector. Visible markings include a German military eagle, "WaA 614" acceptance number, 1941 dates, component numbers "7841" and “7843," and a diamond-shaped maker’s emblem. Condition shows expected service and age wear, including scratches, paint and finish loss, oxidation, soiling, fraying to the cloth-covered cords, and wear to the leather strap and Bakelite components. The adjustable mouthpiece and associated fittings remain present. The main assembly measures approximately 6 inches long x 2 inches wide x 6.5 inches high. Untested; functionality is unknown. A well-marked example of WWII German switchboard communications equipment, offering strong historical and display appeal for collectors of Signal Corps apparatus, field telephones, and military communications technology.
