Dating to 1938, this German Feldfernsprecher 33 (FF33) field telephone is housed in a brown mottled Bakelite and metal carrying case. The unit retains its black Bakelite handset, brown cloth-covered cord, internal connection components, and phonetic alphabet chart mounted to the exterior. German-language communication charts, electrical schematics, model numbers, maker markings, military codes, and inspection stamps are present throughout. The case and components show expected service wear, including surface scuffs, finish wear, age-related patina, and deterioration to portions of the wiring covering. The wiring remains present, and the visible markings remain largely legible. Measures approximately 10.5 x 8.5 x 3.5 inches and weighs approximately 10.7 pounds (4,873 grams). Operation has not been tested. A well-preserved example of German WWII field communications equipment with strong historical and display appeal. SC
