Grouping of eight painted wood Winterhilfswerk (WHW) donation tokens from the 1942–1943 winter relief campaign. Produced by German toymakers in the Erzgebirge region, these lathe-turned miniature figurines were distributed as thank-you gifts for street-side donations. The set represents traditional figures: a Miner (Bergmann), a Hunter, a Sentry, a Snowman with its original red thread hanger, a Craftsman, a Peasant Woman, and two Royal or King figures. Each figure displays vibrant period hand painting. The pieces show a genuine patina with minor paint loss and chipping, consistent with age. This collection offers insight into WWII-era German folk art and wartime home-front traditions. Dimensions: 3.0 cm – 5.0 cm (1.2" – 2") in height. SC
