This lot contains ten molded plastic charity donation badges produced for the Winterhilfswerk (WHW) street collections during the Third Reich era. Specifically issued for the Gau Hessen-Nassau region, nine of the pieces feature intricate, openwork open-frame relief designs showcasing landmarks, regional monuments, and folkloric heritage. Landmarks include the Auerbacher Schloss (Auerbach Castle), Michelstädter Rathaus (Michelstadt Town Hall), the monument to Gutenberg, and a figure from the Nibelungen saga. The tenth badge is a solid rectangular plate depicting Bischofskoppe. Most badges retain its horizontal wire safety pin attachment mechanism on the reverse. One of the badges exhibits a vertical hairline crack running through the upper frame, and several pieces show natural age-related yellowing, minor scuffs, and localized surface dirt. The measurements are L. 1.5" x W.1" for the smaller badges and all others are L. 1 1/8" by W. 1.5". SW
