This 12" x 9" commemorative naval album is housed in a distinctive brown leatherette cover featuring an embossed galleon. Bound with a tasseled cord, the 21 pages contain 124 photographs, the vast majority being authentic period prints. The collection offers a rare blend of personal and high-level historical documentation, including crisp portraits of young Kriegsmarine sailors and exceptional professional press photos of state ceremonies. Notable highlights include Adolf Hitler greeting Grand Admiral Raeder and wide-angle shots of naval reviews and ship launches. The photos are well-preserved with excellent tonal range and clarity. The binding shows natural age-related crazing to the leatherette, but remains structurally sound, representing a valuable visual record of the German Navy’s ceremonial presence in the late 1930s and early 1940s.
