East German Volksmarine Sailor Jumper, 1987

This East German Volksmarine enlisted sailor jumper features a dark blue square collar and cuffs, each trimmed with three white stripes. Included is a black neckerchief accented with a tied white band. The left sleeve displays a blue rank chevron and a gold-tone anchor button at the cuff closure. An interior neck tag marks the size as m 48-0, and the property stamp reads "NVA 1/L 1817", designating production during the first quarter of 1987 rather than 1947. The chest measures 40 inches.
